AT & T Pebble Beach and Dubai Desert Classic Golf

Dustin Johnson is seeking his third win in three years at Pebble Beach and he shouldn’t be far away as he is obviously very well suited to the course and the Pro-Am style of play.

Another player who has good course form, big-hitting JB Holmes, is sure to go well especially following on from his  top five finish last week.

I am taking Nick Watney as my selection at 16/1.  Watney was also in the top five last week, adding to his sixth place finish the previous week at the Farmers Insurance Open.

All the top three players in the world rankings are teeing it up in Dubai this week (Westwood, Kaymer and Woods), along with a whole host of other big name players.

A win for German Martin Kaymer could see the 26 year old from Dusseldorf knock Lee Westwood of top spot.

My tip is Edoardo Molinari at 25/1.

The 29 year old from Turin (his 30th birthday is on Friday) has the game to do well in this tournament.  His stats for hitting Greens in regulation are very good and he showed his game was in shape with an eighth place in the Volvo Champions a fortnight ago.

Holding the trophy aloft on Sunday would be the ideal way to celebrate his birthday.
