Many hundreds of mourners gathered yesterday to pay their respects to Hibs legend Eddie Turnbull.

Among the stars mingling with the hundreds of fans were Craig Brown, Willie Miller, Jim Jefferies, Derek Riordan
and ageing rocker Fish.

Turnbull, a member of the ‘Famous Five’ forward line that won three league titles in five years, was praised for
his achievements and was highly respected as being ‘very hard but very fair’.

He was also noted for his sense of humour.

Following the service for the former Hibs manager who died at the age of 88, the coffin made its way from Mansfield
Traquair Church to Easter Road to allow fans to pay their final respects.

A private family funeral took place later at Warriston Crematorium.
