Four people have died after being engulfed in an avalanche in Glencoe.
The party of six – three men and three women – were caught up in the avalanche that hit the Bidean Nam Bian area at 2pm Saturday.
One man escaped being swept away and raised the alarm. A woman was recovered alive after a rescue effort got underway but has serious head injuries.
Commenting on twitter, Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: “Dreadful news from Glencoe. Thoughts with all those affected.”
