Gaddafi’s son killed in Nato air strike


Muammar Gaddafi’s youngest son and three grandchildren have been killed in a Nato missile strike in Tripoli. Gaddafi and his wife were staying at their son’s home¬†with relatives when the Nato bombs were dropped.

Libyan spokesman Moussa Ibrahim told a news conference in Tripoli early on Sunday morning: “The attack resulted in the martyrdom of brother Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, 29 years old, and three of the leader’s grandchildren,”

Gaddafi and his wife are said to be in good health but other people were injured during the attack.

Ibrahim said: “This was a direct operation to assassinate the leader of this country.”
