Luke Donald will be looking forward to the Honda Classic this week as it was at this venue in 2006 that the 33 year old from High Wycombe last won on the PGA Tour, prior to his victory in last week’s Accenture World Match Play.
Donald’s win over Martin Kaymer in the final catapulted him up to World Number Three in the rankings. Europe now has the top four ranked players in the world – the first time this has occurred since 1992.
Once again, I’m advising an interest in rookie Rickie Fowler. His maiden win is imminent and I don’t want to desert him just yet.
