The Scottish Government has made an 11th-hour plea to keep Moray’s airbases open – and warned that closing either of them would deliver a “hammer blow” to the local economy.
As ministers in London prepared to announce where the defence spending axe will fall, the region’s MP and MSP said shutting RAF Kinloss or RAF Lossiemouth would “shatter” the area.
