The MP and MSP for Moray have expressed condolences to the families of crew killed following the loss of two Tornado GR4 aircraft from RAF
Lossiemouth which crashed in the Moray Firth yesterday.
Angus Robertson MP, the SNP Westminster leader and Defence spokesperson, said:
“All our thoughts and condolences are with the families, friends and colleagues of those who have been lost.
“This tragedy has deep resonance with people across Moray and my deepest sympathies go to all affected. I also want to extend my appreciation to all those involved in the search, rescue and recovery operations.”
Moray MSP Richard Lochhead said:
“My deepest sympathies go to the families of the crew at this awful time. The thoughts of everyone in the local community will be with the families and colleagues of the crew at RAF Lossiemouth.
“Everyone in Moray has a connection with the RAF and this tragedy will be felt right across the community.”
