A massive typhoon is heading towards Japan and expected to make landfall today.
The storm is predicted to be the worst to hit the country in over half a century land when it lands in Okinawa this afternoon [Sunday].
The typhoon, christened Bolaven, is 20 times larger than Okinawa’s length and has already witnessed winds of 213 kilometers (132 miles) per hour, with gusts reaching 259 kilometers (161 miles) per hour.
The storm is also expected to hit China and the Korean peninsula.
