A £20million investment to build one of the world’s most advance radar systems in Fife has been welcomed by local MSP Bill Walker.
BAE Systems at Hillend near Dunfermline will build components for the next generation of Typhoon combat aircraft.
Mr Walker, the SNP MSP for Dunfermline, said: “This is a welcome investment and reinforces the fact Scotland can be industry world leaders in electronics.
“Despite the tough economic climate, businesses are still investing in our country which brings with it more jobs.
“BAE Systems at Hillend plays a key role in this area’s economic stability and I’m delighted it is strengthening its operations here.
“This £20million investment secures 200 jobs for the next two years which is a testament to the skills and quality of the local workforce.”
