Six Scottish cities are to benefit from a £5 million fund set aside by the Scottish government.

The money will be used to help investment projects in transport, digital communications, culture and the low carbon economy.

The fund will be shared between Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Stirling, Dundee and Inverness and it is expected that projects will also involve the private sector.

More details are to be announced by the Scottish government.
