Two Scots finished in the top 5 in the Iberdrola Open in Mallorca, Spain behind three-stroke winner Darren Clarke.

Alastair Forsyth (fourth) and Paul Lawrie (fifth)  continued the good recent run from Scottish golfers following on from the two top 5 places last week in Barcelona in the Open de Espana. (Scott Jamieson and Paul Lawrie)

Paul Lawrie in particular has struck a rich vein of form with his last three tournaments yielding a win in the Andalucian Open followed by his two fifth places in the last fortnight, earning the former British Open winner over £250,000.

Clarke (born in Dungannon, Northern Ireland) meantime came from four behind Chris Wood overnight to clinch his first win for three years (KLM Open) as the Englishman endured a horrendous round of 76 (six over par) to slump into a tie for second place with countryman David Lynn.
