Scottish surveyors report increase in house sales

According to research by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland, undertaken monthly, there was a large jump in property sales in April.

 

25% of surveyors recorded increases in sales, compared with just 12% the previous month.

Buyer demand was also reported to have grown in April with 38% of surveyors reporting inquiries from buyers – a figure up 7% from March.

However, it is also included in the report that house prices fell in the three months to the end of April.
