The Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has joined the blogosphere and will now provide regular online updates on the Scottish Government’s plans for the referendum and an independent Scotland.
The regular blog will feature on the Scottish Government referendum site and will give people another way of finding out about the latest developments during this exciting time in Scotland’s history.
The blogs will give followers a personal perspective from the Deputy First Minister who is at the forefront of the debate around Scotland’s constitutional future.
Ms Sturgeon put the first of many blogs online yesterday.
She said: “Everything that is posted on this blog will be written personally by me or by people I invite to contribute.
“The Blogs will include updates on the Scottish Government’s plans for the referendum, my observations on the development of the debate and our preparations for an independent Scotland should the people of Scotland vote ‘yes’ in 2014.
“These blogs will outline the reasons why we believe that bringing the powers home will better equip us to build the kind of country we want Scotland to be.
“We increasingly live in a digital world and it is important that we are taking the constitutional debate to online audiences in Scotland and across the world.
“I am committed to making sure that as many people as possible engage with the debate so that they can make the most informed decision when deciding Scotland’s future.”
