This third in our series sees Newsnet Scotland take to the streets of Stirling to get the views of local people on Labour’s decision to review universal benefits.

Scottish Labour leader Johann Lamont’s claim that those receiving free prescriptions, free bus travel and free university education were part of a “something for nothing culture” caused controversy.

Her announcement that the Scottish Labour party would set up an internal commission to review Scotland’s universal benefits led to criticisms from charities and Unions alike.

Newsnet Scotland commissioned the Restless Natives film crew to find out reaction from ordinary people to Scottish Labour’s plans.
