Everybody else is talking about the Scottish Labour leadership battle, so Bateman Broadcasting decided to join in this week.
Observer journalist and commentator Kevin McKenna joined Derek to discuss the runners and riders, soon after Westminster MP Jim Murphy confirmed the worst-kept secret in history and announced his candidacy.

The unanswered question remains: As Labour languishes in the Scottish polls, its membership a fraction of that enjoyed today by the SNP despite the referendum result, who would want the job?
So far three people have declared for the campaign. Anas Sarwar’s confirmation that he is to resign as the party’s Scottish deputy leader means there may be a contest for that job too.
In this podcast, Kevin and Derek attempt to make sense of it all.
Bateman Broadcasting offers a unique perspective. Our interview-led approach adds real value and lively content to Scottish political debate.
